A handling fee of € 55,00 (€ 45,45 excl. btw) applies to every device, regardless of whether you drop it off or send it in. This covers intake, inspection, function testing, communication, storage and (if applicable) preparing it for return.
If the inspection already shows that repair or further investigation doesn’t make sense – for example because a part is no longer available, or because the device is in poor condition – I’ll tell you, and you can leave it at that. The cost will then remain € 55,00 (€ 45,45 excl. btw).

As soon as the investigation is underway, the investigation fee is due. This also applies if the device is returned unrepaired.
Step 1 – Research Standard -> Found and repaired
For small, simple repairs, not a lot of investigation is usually needed, and the repair work itself is often done quickly. Think of faulty switches and buttons. If the cause hasn’t been found after that hour, I’ll stop work and get in touch with you. You’ll then pay € 152,00 (€ 125,62 excl. btw), even if repair isn’t possible.
If I expect that there will be a lot of work on the device, I will draw up a quote.

Step 2 – Extended Research -> Report and quote
Only if step 1 gave no conclusive answer and you give the go-ahead for it. An extensive investigation, with a written report of the findings: what is broken, why, what repair costs, and whether that is economically justified. The total for the investigation then comes to € 250,00 (€ 206,61 excl. btw).
These costs are also due if the investigation shows that your device can no longer be repaired. In that case, you are paying for the diagnostic work and its outcome, not for a successful repair.

The total cost of a repair can vary greatly and depends on the amount of work required. The quote includes an overview of how the costs are made up.
